C.W.F.
Christian Women’s Fellowship
An international organization of Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) women established all over the world.
C.W.F. Prayer
“Unto Thee, O God, we give our thanks and lift our hearts in prayer. May your presence be with us and Your Love surround us as we work together in the Christian Women’s Fellowship. Open our eyes to the needs of the world and fill our hearts with concern for all people. Guide us that we may truly serve you, Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.”
Benediction
“God be merciful unto us and bless us; and cause your face to shine upon us; that Your way may be known upon the earth, Your saving health among all nations. Through Jesus Christ, Our Lord.”
Activities:
CWF has many projects each year to help local agencies and overseas ministries. We study a different country each year. CWF prepares communion for each Sunday service. We are often called upon to prepare funeral dinners, and prepare and host receptions for many special occasions during the year.
CWF has funded, planned and carried out many projects for our church.
- We have remodeled both kitchens.
- Purchased new pew cushions for the sanctuary.
- Purchased new tables and chairs for the Bethany Room.
- Provided the funding to refinish the outside doors.
- Researched and acquired a defibrillator and it’s necessary training.
Welcome:
Anyone is welcome to join. We have devotions, a meaningful program and good fellowship at each meeting. Call 317-244-7656 for more information.
Circles of Speedway Christian Church
Eunice Circle
This circle meets the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 P.M. in the Bethany Room. Our service projects are usually chosen because of special interests the group has. We help support Restoring Lives West and many other local groups in our neighborhoods.
Leah Circle
This circle meets at 12:30 P.M. the first Wednesday of the month. They bring a snack lunch and enjoy a program together. They work on service projects of their choosing, such as the Linus Blanket project, making new blankets and quilts for the E. R. of local hospitals for children or teens. The buy socks, t-shifts and sweat shirts for the Horizon House. They also do other projects as they come up.
Rebekah Circle
This circle meets the first Wednesday of the month for lunch at 11:30 A.M. at Grindstone Charlie’s and returns back to the church for their meeting at 1:00 P.M. Some of the causes they support are extra funding for the CWF projects for the church, support for the Beacon of Hope Center for women, Restoring Lives West, Central Christian Church, Julian Center, Central Indiana Council on Aging and Horizon House.
